Sachin Pilot seals Congress patch-up, says ‘harbour no wish to have post’

Rajasthan Congress leader Sachin Pilot, who has finally ended his rebellion against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, on Tuesday said that there was no place for malice or personal enmity in politics.

Pilot, who yesterday met Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra here, said the party has formed a three-member committee to look into the issues raised by him and some other MLAs.

“The issues we raised were of importance. There is no place for malice or personal enmity in politics,” Pilot said. He added that during yesterday’s crucial meeting, “Priyanka ji and Rahul ji heard our grievances patiently and assured that a roadmap will be chalked out to resolve them”.

The senior Rajasthan Congress leader said CM Gehlot was elder to him and he has full respect for the veteran party member. He, however, added that as a Congress member, he too has the right raise work-related concerns like on governance, functioning and respect of party workers.

“I imbibed certain values from my family. No matter how much I oppose anyone, I’ve never used such a language. Ashok Gehlot ji is elder to me and I respect him personally, but I have the right to raise work-related concerns,” Pilot said when asked to comment on Gehlot’s recent ‘nikamma’ jibe on him.
