Bhopal: Amit Shah, Mohan Yadav Discuss BJP’s State President Polls, Cabinet Expansion

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his stay in Delhi on Saturday.

According to sources, the election of the party’s state unit president and expansion of the cabinet figured in the meeting between the two leaders. Election of the state unit president is continuously delayed. But now, it is expected that it may take place by the next month.

The party is mulling over many names for the post. The name of legislator Hemant Khandelwal tops the list of candidates vying for the party’s top job. He has the support of the Chief Minister. The name of a former minister Natorram Mishra, close to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, is also doing the rounds for the post.

After the meeting between Shah and Yadav, the speculations over the election to the party’s state unit president may end.

According to sources, both Shah and Yadav also discussed the proposed cabinet expansion. After the end of assembly session, there may be some changes in MP and Chhattisgarh cabinets. There are possibilities that some ministers in the present cabinet may be asked to quit.

The party is planning to get rid of some controversial ministers. Yadav also invited Shah to a function in which an agreement between Dugdh Mahasangh and National Dairy Development Board will be signed. There were plans to ink the MOU in the presence of Shah on February 25, but the event was put off.

President invited to launch Vedic clock App Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met President Droupadi Murmu. He invited Murmu to inaugurate a Vedic clock App in Ujjain on March 30. The government is organising Vikramotsav in Ujjain. At the function, an App of Vedic clock and 100 smaller forms of Vedic clock will be inaugurated.

This App is available more than 189 languages spoken in India and in other parts of the world. According to sources, the President has given her consent to attend the function.

Three-day Vikramotsav to be held in Delhi

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said a function on emperor Vikramaditya is going to be held in Delhi on April 12 and 14. President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have been invited to the function. Several events will be held on these three days.
