Khagesh Amin and Arpita Patel of the Revival group were elected unopposed in the Indian Cricketers Association (ICA) elections

Khagesh Amin and Arpita Patel of the Revival group were elected unopposed in the Indian Cricketers Association (ICA) elections. The Revival group has already won two of the 12 seats before the BCA elections start. With these it seems that the Revival group has already started its winning campaign in the upcoming BCA elections.

The Indian Cricketers Association elections will be held by the BCCI from 27th to 29th October. Two male and two female ex-cricketers filed their candidatures to represent BCA as a Member Association of ICA. Candidates from the Royal and Revival group jumped into this election.

Former first class cricketer Khagesh Amin who was a good medium pace bowler of his time was declared unopposed winner for the ICA Male representative seat . Former first class cricketer Prayan Dave a renowned batsman of his time had filed his candidature as a dummy candidate of Revival group , he withdrew his candidature, and hence Khagesh Amin was declared the winner today. It’s worth noting that for the male seat of ICA representative from BCA , 37 ex cricketer voters were eligible to vote. Royal group tried to get a strong candidate against Khagesh Amin but no cricketer was willing to stand against him due to the developments done by the Ruling Revival group and due to the number game which was in favour of the Revival group.

While Arpita Patel of the Revival group filed her candidature for the women’s representative of ICA , Dr Tanveer Mukadam from Royal group who is daughter of Mr Mehndi Shaikh one of the leading coaches of Vadodara, who has coached International Cricketers like Munaf Patel, Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan, stood against her.

Dr. Tanveer Sheikh withdrew her candidature and Arpita Patel of Revival group was also declared unopposed winner. Thus, since both the representatives of Indian Cricketers Association in the Apex Body of BCA are from the Revival group, it seems the strength of Revival has increased to another level.

The BCA elections would be tentatively held after Gujarat Vidhansabha elections , and before that since the Revival group has already got 02 seats of the governing body Apex council , Revival group has become stronger in the upcoming elections. Revival group is currently in power in the BCA and Vadodara is to be gifted a state of the art cricket stadium by Revival group at Kotambi Village near Vadodara city. This stadium is currently on the verge of completion . And since the group has fulfilled the promise of the stadium made in the last election, it would be difficult for the Royal group to face Ruling Revival group.
