GUWAHATI, DEC 16: Famous and rare variety of tea from Assam, “Manohari Gold Tea” from Dibrugarh, Assam once again created history by breaking all previous records and was sold for Rs. 1,15,000.00 per kg, in a Private Auction Portal of Tea Inntech on Friday .
The Tea is bought by R.K. Tea Sales for its client Café Nilofer of Hyderabad and others.
Talking to this correspondent over phone on Friday, Rajan Lohia, proprietor of Manohari Tea estate said, “For the fifth consecutive time, Manohari Gold Tea created record. I am happy because this record and committed to produce best tea. The tea was brought by R.K. Tea Sales for its client Café Nilofer of Hyderabad and others.”
“Manohari Gold Tea” holds a series of world record for selling its Teas at the highest auction price of Rs. 39,001/-, Rs. 50,000/-, Rs. 75,000/- and Rs. 99,999/- for four consecutive years i.e. 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 at the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre but due the cap of Tea Board of India limited to Rs. 1,00,000/-, it had to sell its Teas through private auction this year and is sold for a whooping ₹1,15,000/- per Kilogram breaking all previous records of the Tea Industry.
“Manohari Gold Tea” is made during the Second flush and is made with the finest clones, the P-126 which is said to be the best clone for making Tea in the World. The leaves are picked in the early hours of the morning (between 4am and 6am) to prevent the sun from altering its distinct aroma and flavour. “It looks like 24 carat gold” and is the healthiest beverage on the planet. It is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body and many other benefits.
